Can’t Wait for Tomorrow features artwork by Christina Marie Fong
CE artist Christina Marie Fong is featured in Can’t Wait for Tomorrow, an inclusive exhibition featuring artwork by artists with and without disabilities, curated by Quickest Flip. The exhibition features artwork by Bay Area contemporary artists and by artists creating at progressive art studios across the country.
About Christina Marie Fong:
Known for her bold, graphic drawing style, Christina Marie Fong is influenced by fashion, pop culture, and mass media. Fong’s artistic practice takes up what she calls “personality…the fabulous.” Whether drawing large versions of dollar bills or building elaborately detailed paper sculptures of designer handbags, Fong’s work is extremely delicate and precise.
She uses decorative patterning, thick white or black outlines, and bright colors to render her drawings, posters, and sculptures. Fong juxtaposes the familiar with fantasy, explaining, "Everything I draw or make is based on someone [or something] in a way… but then it changes and becomes part of my imagination."
