Request for Qualifications: Videographer
CE is seeking a Videographer to produce a series of ten interviews of Creativity Explored Artists. These interviews serve to provide a new perspective on the artmaking process by asking questions that are often overlooked in interviews featuring artists with disabilities. The questions will be written by Moving Parts Crip Institute and conducted by CE direct service staff. All interviews will be recorded in the studio and edited by the videographer with feedback from Moving Parts Crip Institute. The interviews will be made available as an online exhibition, with the potential for future in-person exhibitions that are outside of the scope of this project. The culmination of this project will be a screening of all interviews in Summer of 2025.
Videographer Responsibilities
Record interviews of 10 CE artists answering preselected questions
Record CE artist working in the studio and navigating the surrounding areas to provide context for their interviews
Edit footage with feedback from partnering org, Moving Parts Crip Institute
Add captioning to all footage
Submit 10 finalized, edited videos in a ready-to-share format via Google Drive
Qualifications
Generally, ideal candidates will:
Have experience working with people of all abilities within a diverse community
Demonstrated proficiency in video production, including filming, editing, and post-production
Have experience with and access to video editing software (e.g., DaVinci Resolve, Adobe Premiere Pro).
Have a strong understanding of lighting, sound, and composition
Possess experience in project management and strong organizational skills
Have the ability to be flexible, adaptive, and sensitive to emergent learning and possibilities
Able to shoot in person in San Francisco
Compensation
Creativity Explored will pay $2,000 upon delivery of the final product. Payment schedule is negotiable.
