Join our team as a Substitute Teaching Artist!

Creativity Explored is seeking a Substitute Teaching Artist to join our team on a flexible, contracted basis. This position supports our disabled artists in cultivating a focused and self-directed creative practice within a collaborative studio environment.

We’re looking for a practicing artist who is passionate about inclusive arts and eager to contribute to a vibrant, community-rooted space. As a Substitute Teaching Artist, you’ll work directly with artists and staff to foster growth, expression, and connection through art.

Position Details

  • Compensation: $25/hour

  • Classification: Contract (up to 500 hours/year)

  • Location: In-person role at CE Studios in San Francisco’s Mission District and Potrero Hill

  • Benefits: Accrued sick pay

What We’re Looking For

  • A background in fine arts or equivalent experience

  • A personal, process-based art practice

  • Experience teaching or facilitating creative work

  • Strong communication and collaboration skills

  • Interest in working with people with developmental disabilities

  • Bilingual/bicultural candidates strongly encouraged to apply
