Raymond Tingley
b. 1931, California ∙ CE artist from 1988 - 2008
Raymond Tingley worked with pastels, pencils, acrylic and watercolor, often turning his drawings into a collage. Tingley’s work typically takes one of two forms: geometrical designs repeated over a flat surface, or large figures executed on windows, cardboard, or canvas. Working with acrylic, tempera, and pastel, his geometric designs are reminiscent of mandalas or life circles.
