Pamela Pianchachi
b. 1996 ∙ CE artist since 2018
Roxana “Pamela” Pianchachi often explores circling forms and repeating shapes through painting with watercolors. Her color palette is specific and varies greatly from project to project - from gently blended pastels to bold and opaque primary colors. Her joyous laugh and infectious smile reverberate throughout the studio, just like her bubbling works of art.
Pianchachi is dedicated to her practice, painting with a graceful and steady hand each day. Pianchachi’s work is defined by her loose compositions and wavering repetition of figures or shapes. Pianchachi often pairs thin hatch-marks with series of dots, evoking a mysterious relationship between the elements. Her pairing of delicate washes of color with these unique, runic shapes is reminiscent of translucent single-celled life-forms swimming in primordial pools.
