Hiro Medina

b. 1996, Atlanta CE artist since 2021

Hiro Medina primarily uses pencils, colored pencils, and watercolors to render his otherworldly, sci-fi and fantasy-inspired figures and worlds. His graphite illustrations call to mind an alternative steampunk universe, often featuring birds (his favorite motif), futuristic machines, or strange contraptions. Hiro's goals are to create more, improve his craft, and garner public attention for his work. He enjoys creating at CE because of the access to all sorts of materials: in the future, he wants to explore creating digital art on a tablet.

Hiro was one of Creativity Explored’s featured artists for our 40th anniversary in 2023. Read our feature on Hiro Medina ▸
