Duc Nguyen
b. 1963; Vietnam ∙ CE artist from 2000 -
Duc Nguyen was born in Vietnam in 1972 and came to San Francisco with his family as a young boy.
Working exclusively in charcoal and pencil, Nguyen’s line drawings utilize repetition of form and delicate markings. He prefers to create compositions depicting Christmas trees and birthday cakes. An intensely private artist, Nguyen takes home all pieces he makes while in the Creativity Explored studio. His teacher says he enjoys the creative process, but his finished work is very personal to him.
