Ayana Norwood
b. 1999 ∙ CE artist since 2022
Young, hip, and always fashionable, you can find Ayana Norwood at the studio skillfully using Procreate on the iPad or sometimes drawing or painting by hand. Ayana is a focused and dedicated artist: she starts drawing the moment she shows up at the studio. She readily embraces source material for inspiration when starting a new piece, but also draws from her own imagination with ease. She mostly enjoys working alone, but likes to be around other artists in the studio.
Her kind, polite, and sometimes shy nature belies her inner sense of style: Ayana often adorns herself with funky jewelry (like her Black Lives Matter earrings), makeup, and creative hairstyles. Wirsha smiles a lot, has a good sense of humor. Among her likes are the roller coaster at Great America, swimming, iced coffee with cream and brown sugar, the song “Bette Davis Eyes,” tattoos, the TV show Californication, and the movie Despicable Me.
